Dispatch Update of August 16th

Things have been heating up lately with the Dispatched. Clan challenges issued, game nights hosted, and various movie projects rapidly approaching deadlines. Its a bundle of treats!

Dispatch Community Game Night #4

Yes, there was an official DCGN this past Wednesday. Although it wasn’t really announced, we thought we’d through a surprising swing at the fans. The end result, probably one of our most explicit and epic game nights to date.

I would go into full detail of each of the games we played, but I will cover a few of the more memorable ones.

Game 1: Run Like Hell on Foundry

Gametype: Infection

Tone: Don’t. Look. Back!

Pretty straightforward fun shoot em’ up Infection gametype. Keep running until we get to an armory of goodies and make our final stand. The hardest part was the beginning as few fell victim to the zombie onslaught running rampantly after the humans. A great highlight was when the map’s scripted cages fell and trapped several zombies for the remainder of the game.

Game 2: Prophecy Assault on Sandtrap

Gametype: Assault

Tone: Classic Epicness

Throughout most of the game night, we had the greatest connection in all our games. It was simply amazing. We all agreed that we have never enjoyed such large parties with the finest connection, which made this gametype all the more enjoyable to play.

Banshee squadrons kept the air sizzling with plasma, snipers picked off infantry, tank and warthog divisions attempted to do their best to break through the center. You just had to be there to see it for yourself!

Banshee squadrons darting through the heated air of a corpse drenched battlefield

A battle of epic proportions ensued on all fronts… And not a single bit of lag!

Game 3: Marines Vs Covenant on Valhalla

Gametype: Assault

Tone: More epic hawtness

As if Sandtrap wasn’t enough! Valhalla was just as fun as snipers had to constantly keep infantry in check, lasers dodged, and bases glassed by Wraith mortar fire. This battle belonged in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It was too bad that Aragorn didn’t have an energy sword.

Hornet pilots scramble to the landing pads as the battle begins with heavy artillery fire.

There were a handful of other games that we played, but these were probably the most memorable and most enjoyable of the bunch (even though a round of Bumper Cars and Blackstone was pretty fun as well).

To close this report, our cameraman Deadite has created a highlight reel for your viewing pleasure. Don’t forget to watch in high quality!

New Site. New Look. New System.

More change! You may remember me mentioning an upgrade to Wordpress Blogging system in one of our past updates, well, many thanks to Qwait for the installation and upgrade, we now have a much better site and blog system for you guys and the updates.

As for “new look”, you can see that our homepage looks finer than ever. Sporting our new insignia that I photoshopped (with some inspiration from Gears of War of course).

Blackstone Log 2

I think it is safe to say it will be coming out within a week or so. Just need to edit up some more schtuff here and there…

Prophecy Episode 4

Looks unbelievably great. You guys are in for a treat this September hopefully…

DCGN #5?

May be a possibility sometime this week… May be

That’s it for now ladies and gents. Enjoy the rest of your Summer vacation and don’t forget to wear some sun lotion hitting those beaches! Later.
